Catharien Terwisscha van Scheltinga, Marianna Siegmund-Schultze, Jan Verhagen
Summary
This publication brings together the results of the Deltas under Pressure project carried out by Wageningen University & Research in Vietnam and Bangladesh, edited by Catharien Terwisscha van Scheltinga, Marianna Siegmund-Schultze and Jan Verhagen. Starting from a food systems analysis and work with stakeholders, it is organised by topic: water quality and desalination, rainwater harvesting and treatment, mangroves in shrimp farming, crops and salinity, livestock and climate change, food safety, salinity hotspots, transition pathways developed with farmers, and agroecology in the Mekong Delta. The Vietnam case worked from field level upwards, while the Bangladesh case started from national policy. Dr Tran Thi Ngoc Bich co-authored the topic on crops and salinity.
