Learn Together – Act Together for the Environment
Tra Vinh University students visit and participate in experiential learning at STARS Water Center
In celebration of the International Day of Happiness, on the morning of March 20, 2026, STARS Water Center – Tra Vinh University collaborated with the Environmental Club – Tra Vinh University to organize a visit and experiential learning activity at the Center. The program focused on climate change adaptation models and water treatment systems.
With the message “Learn Together – Act Together for the Environment,” the activity provided students with an opportunity to engage with practical knowledge, explore technological solutions in water treatment, water resource management, and climate change adaptation. It also served as an opportunity to promote proactive learning, environmental responsibility, and encourage young people to take action toward a greener and more sustainable future.

Hands-on experience with water and climate models
As part of the program, students had the opportunity to visit, observe, and directly learn about the models currently being researched, operated, and introduced at STARS Water Center. Through this hands-on experience, students gained a more practical perspective on how technical solutions can be applied to water treatment, efficient water resource use, and adaptation to the impacts of climate change.

In addition to observing the models, students also had the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with the Center’s technical staff on current environmental issues, particularly challenges related to water resources in the context of climate change in the Mekong Delta.

This activity helped students connect their theoretical knowledge with real-world practice, thereby enhancing their observation skills, applied thinking, and orientation toward scientific research in the field of environment.
Spreading a sense of environmental responsibility
The visit and experiential learning activity not only contributed to raising students’ awareness of water resource protection but also inspired a sense of responsibility, creativity, and proactive action for the environment. Through direct experiences, students were able to engage more closely with practical issues, gaining a better understanding of each individual’s role in protecting water resources and building a sustainable lifestyle.
On the occasion of the International Day of Happiness, the program also conveyed the message that happiness does not only come from fulfillment in the present, but also from collectively empowering the younger generation by creating opportunities for them to learn, experience, and contribute to a greener future.

STARS – A hub for learning and knowledge connection
Through this activity, STARS Water Center – Tra Vinh University continues to affirm its role as a space for learning, hands-on experience, and knowledge connection in the fields of water, environment, and climate change adaptation.
STARS Water Center hopes to continue serving as a meaningful learning destination, accompanying students of Tra Vinh University and partner organizations in many practical activities in the future, contributing to the spread of awareness, knowledge, and environmental action within the community.
